Come explore this unique island and learn the interesting history behind Buell's Island and the Village of Lowell, Ohio; which was the 2nd Settlement in the Northwest Territory. Just down the river, you'll find Marietta, Ohio with an abundance of things to do. It was first settled in 1788 by the Ohio Company of Associates as the first settlement in the Northwest Territory. History lovers will enjoy the historic buildings and feel of the city. Take a trip to the past, but with much better amenities!

Riverfront Getaway 

You'll love relaxing riverside. Enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, and camp fires just feet from your bedroom. Enjoy an evening meal on our screened deck (mosquito-proof) or covered patio overlooking the water. You'll fall asleep to the gentle river song of the Muskingum.

Fantastic Getaway

Shopping and dining on Front Street and relaxing on the river were wonderful but our favorite part was learning about your story and this island. A little slice of heaven!

Best Vacation Ever

We had a wonderful day! We went downtown Marietta to First Friday and enjoyed the shops and restaurants. We spent some time on the river tubing on a boat. The Beverly fireworks were great!

This is the place to Relax!

This place is quiet, clean, spacious and calming. You have stress? This is the place to relax! Loved everything about it! My husband and I especially enjoyed waking up in the morning and hearing the flow of the Muskingum River! Loved the screened in observation deck off the kitchen; where we sat, relaxed and watched the beautiful sunset. It is just minutes to the historic town of Marietta; close to all the great restaurants, shopping and bars in the area. We also loved the decor and all the amenities. My husband enjoyed fishing just a step from the covered patio. The whole place made us feel at ease. Traci and Dave are very nice, easy to talk to, very friendly and welcomed us like family.

Beautiful Sunsets

My husband and I had the chance to spend a couple of days and nights at Buell's Landing. It was so wonderful and so relaxing!! The house is so nice and comfortable! It is right along the Muskingum River. We sat on the screened-in porch with our coffee in the mornings watching the river go by and relaxed on the patio in the evening and watched the beautiful sunsets!! If you get the change to stay here, you won't be disappointed!!!

Perfect little gem

Perfect little gem on the Muskingum River!! My family, along with my brother and his family stayed here last summer for a weekend getaway and what an amazing place! Traci and Dave are super hosts! The house is updated beautifully  and is so peaceful! Waking up, drinking coffee on the screened-in porch, listening to the river floating by and watching the different species of birds was so tranquil. Will definitely be coming back!

Marietta History

Marietta was one of the first settlement in the Northwest Territory. It has an interesting history dating all the way back to the late 1700s! Make sure you visit during your trip to Buell's Landing.
